After looking at a few bottles, I was immediately attracted to this one. I mean how perfect are these lyrics?
Work hard, play hard.
This is pretty much my life motto.

It really means so much to me. No matter what stage in life you're in, it's important to keep this in mind.

When I think of "Work hard, play hard" this is one of the first picture that comes to mind.
College. Am I right?
Daniel and I both worked really hard in college and both graduated with honors! It wasn't easy and on top of that, we got married right in the middle of it all! But looking back, those were such fun times! After school was just as fun too. I went on to land an amazing job with an amazing company and Daniel went on to Duke and the #1 PA School in the country!

Which brings us to our most recent "work hard, play hard" memory.
The last few years at Duke have been tough for both me and Daniel in different ways. But we never forgot our motto and made time to play just as hard! From watching our Blue Devils take the National Championship in Basketball to traveling to 5 different countries.

Having fun is a priority in our lives. Whether its traveling to a new place or just staying in, playing Mario and eating (drinking?) slushies!

I love this quote so much that I decided to turn it into a craft project. So who is ready for a little DIY?
I love making fun little crafts. But I'm all about the simple and easy to complete projects. The first thing I thought of when I saw the new Coca-Cola bottles was that those lyrics belong on a print or cross stitch (or both!)
If you have the skill (and patience) to make a fancy cross stitch then go for it! As for me, I like DIYs that I can actually complete in a short time.

What you'll need:
1 Hoop/frame
A piece of white fabric or cloth
Colorful thread
A needle

Don't forget a bottle of Coke with lyrics for inspiration! Target for the win! You can find them in the drink isle.
Once you have your inspiration, you're ready to start! I like to draw out my design first. I wrote out the lyrics and just added a simple leaf border.
Attach the fabric to the hoop and start following your design with the colors of your choosing!
Pretty much a one-two punch.
I made this one for my mom.
See what I mean by simple?

Now its your turn to join the fun! Join us for a #ShareASong Twitter party on Tuesday May 24th from 1pm - 2pm ET

Hi friends!

So my life has been a little hectic lately. In February I went back to Utah for a business trip. Well my business trip turned into a 3 month+ trip. But I really don't have any complaints because I've loved working back in our corporate headquarters and spending time with my family. I obviously wish Daniel could join me in Utah but he is super busy crushing PA School in NC!

So yeah - Milo came out to Utah with me (obvs) and has loved having so many aunts, uncles and cousins to play with! As I'm writing this, he's spending time with his Tio Benji (Uncle Benji) because I flew out to North Carolina for a few days to hang out with Daniel!
When I came to Utah, all I brought was a small carry-on suitcase. I'm surprised by how far my clothes have gone but in full transparency, I have totally hit up the malls for a few things here and there. But at the end of the day I like to keep it simple. Don't get me wrong, I love to dress up but I don't like to wear a million things. For example, this outfit is pretty much a one-two punch. Chambray dress + booties. And as the weather has gotten warmer I've substituted the booties for open toe wedges. But really, you can't go wrong with dresses like these. They are loose, comfortable and pretty much go with any shoes!
Outfit detail time!

Fun and simple, right?
Ok so I know I haven't posted as regularly on the blog the last few weeks but no worries, I have some fun posts coming your way! And yes, a lot of them will feature Milo.
Stay tuned!

Every so often I like to share some of my favorite things.

So these are a few of my favorite things! You can probably tell that I'm loving blush right now! Or I just really like when things are color coordinated!

Lets see what we have today.

1. Mini Notebook.
One of my friends actually gave me this little notebook for my birthday. Its so cute and so practical. It even fits in my satchels!

Here are a few similar styles:

2. Baby Lips.
I've been a fan of Baby Lips for a few year now. I love how they make my lips feel and I love the little pop of color they give you (or sparkle in this case).

Here are a few similar styles:

3. Ring holder.
Bed side table essential! I always play with my rings and often lose them. This little guy has been a game changer!

Here are a few similar styles:

4. Markers!
I mean how fun are markers?? Color pencils frustrate me and paint is so messy. I use markers all day, every day.

Here are a few similar styles:

5. Statement necklace.
Because life is too short to not make a statement;)

Here are a few similar styles:

I love learning about what people are obsessed with at any given time! What are some of your favorite things?
